A visitor from home

I was delighted to welcome Fr Hugh, my parish priest from Kendal to Sitima, where he spend 10 days travelling the area and often being mobbed by the local children. The parishioners from Kendal Catholic Church have been exceptionally generous with their monetary gifts enabling a number of tasks to be carried out including the installation of toilets on Mchisi Island and the removal and replacement of crumbling blackboards at Mpyupyu School.

Fr Hugh brought even more money out with him from the parish including a very generous gift from Katy and Pasco who when they married recently requested money for charitable works instead of personal gifts. Many thanks to all and congratulations to Katy and Pasco.

During the week we discussed how the money would be spent and have decided to allocate it to buying disability aids for those children and adults who have physical or sensory disabilities
