Coaching the coaches

Today we ended our Level 1 Football Coaching Award for sports club leaders and teachers. I say we, but actually I wasn’t at all involved!

Chris Hayton from Kendal has been out here for seven weeks delivering daily sports skills sessions in schools, a college, in two prisons and in the community. His mate Christian Hoyle joined him last week and together they have worked with 16 local guys teaching them the skills of coaching as already they had very strong footballing skills. The course was varied and included theory sessions, skill development and observed coaching sessions.
