Teacher training takes many forms

My major focus here is on teacher training and until yesterday any photos I took were fairly mundane even if the training wasn't. This week we have delivered training in English conversation, writing compositions, maintaining accounts, disability awareness and tie dying.

The Expressive Arts syllabus is enormous with teachers expected to have skills in painting, craft, dance, music, drama to name but a few. Many were concerned that their inability to deliver across all disciplines was causing children to fail so we have embarked on a series of practical skill development workshops, tie- dying being the first. Great fun was had by all and by using natural dyes the cost is kept down to a minimum. Next practical workshop is macrame.
