Welcome to my new office

Isn't it just fab? This beautiful structure has been created in the corner of the garden meaning that come rain or shine we can conduct all business meetings there, leaving the house solely for living in.

Meeting up with old friends has made it feel like coming home and I have now begun the process of introducing myself to new colleagues and developing working relationships with them, something that can take quite a long time but the process is a very important part of life here in Malawi.

Yesterday, at the local secondary school, I joined in on a session with all the girls on roll, where they were being encouraged to "behave". Sr Margarita, the head teacher is continually striving to convince each girl of her worth and in the value of continuing at school and not engaging in early marriages.
